About Dr. Spiridon-Oumvertos Koutayas

Dr. Koutayas graduated from the Technological Educational Institution (TEI) of Athens as a Certified Dental Technician (CDT) in 1988 and the Dental School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA) as a Doctor Dental Surgeon (DDS) in 1994. He completed his postgraduate studies in Prosthodontics at the Dental School of the Albert-Ludwigs University of Freiburg in Germany in 1998, where he earned his doctoral thesis (Dr. Med Dent) with “magna cum laude in 2001.

He successfully fulfilled the requirements of the German Association of Prosthodontics and Dental Materials (DGPro) and he nominated the Specialization in Prosthodontics (DGPro Board certified Prosthodontist) in 2003]. He appointed as External Assistant Professor at the Department of Prosthodontics, Dental School, University Medical Center Freiburg in Germany (Chair: Prof. Dr. Dr. J.R. Strub) from 2005 to 2011. Dr. Koutayas has a significant number of publications, book contributions, lectures and seminars and for his research work he awarded twice by the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (2008, 2009).

He holds a membership in many re-known scientific societies while he served as 

Secretary General (2011-2019) and as President of the Hellenic Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (2019-2022). Since 1999, he maintains a private practice limited to esthetic oriented restorative dentistry, prosthodontics and implantology in GR-Corfu.
